Melton Skin Clinic Terms, Booking Policies and Privacy Policy
Effective date: 1st May2026
These terms apply to appointments, treatments, consultations, memberships, products, gift vouchers, promotions and other services provided by Melton Skin Clinic.
By booking an appointment, purchasing a product or service, enrolling in a membership, or using our website or booking platform, you agree to the applicable terms provided to you before completing the transaction.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. About Melton Skin Clinic
Melton Skin Clinic provides cosmetic dermal treatments, skin consultations and professional skincare in Melton, Victoria.
Information provided through our website, social media, email, SMS or during an appointment is general or cosmetic in nature and is not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment or advice from a registered medical practitioner.
2. Eligibility and Client Information
Clients must be at least 18 years old to book a treatment unless written consent is provided by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or guardian may also be required to attend.
Clients must provide complete, accurate and current information, including relevant medical history, medications, supplements, allergies, sensitivities, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, recent procedures and active skin conditions.
Treatment may be declined, modified or postponed if it is considered unsafe, unsuitable or contraindicated.
3. Appointments and Deposits
Appointments are subject to availability. A deposit may be required to secure an appointment. The deposit amount will be displayed or communicated when the booking is made.
Deposits are applied toward the the cost of the booked appointment when the appointment is attended.
Appointment confirmations and reminders are provided as a courtesy. Clients remain responsible for recording and attending their appointment even if a reminder is not received because of a or if it is delayed by a telephone, email, internet or booking-system issue.
4. Cancellments and Rescheduling
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel, reschedule or make a significant change to an appointment.
Notice must be provided by contacting Melton Skin Clinic on 0410 169 447. A cancellation is not confirmed until it has been acknowledged by the clinic.
Late cancellations and rescheduling
When less than 48 hours’ notice is provided, a fee of up to $55 may apply to compensate the clinic for the appointment time reserved and the reasonable loss associated with the late cancellation.
The fee will not exceed the price of the booked service. Any deposit already retained retained for that appointment will be credited toward the $55 fee. A client will not be charged both the full $55 fee and an additional forfe retained deposit for the same appointment.
Missed appointments and no-shows
An appointment is considered a no-show when the client does not attend and has not provided the required cancellation or rescheduling notice.
No-shows may incur a fee of up to $55. The fee will not exceed the price of the booked service, and any retained deposit will be credited toward the fee.
Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may result in restricted booking access, refusal of future bookings or a requirement to prepay future appointments in full.
Exceptional circumstances
Melton Skin Clinic understands that genuine emergencies and unexpected circumstances can occur. Requests to waive or reduce a fee will be considered individually but are not automatically granted. Supporting information may be requested where reasonable.
5. Late Arrivals
Clients should contact the clinic as soon as possible if they expect to arrive late.
A late appointment may need to be shortened or modified to avoid affecting other clients. If a client arrives after more than half of the allocated appointment has passed, the clinic may be unable to perform the treatment and may treat the appointment as a late cancellation or no-show.
6. Payment of Cancellation and No-Show Fees
An invoice may be issued for an applicable cancellation or no-show fee. Payment is due within seven calendar days from the invoice date.
If a client believes an invoice has been issued incorrectly, they should contact Melton Skin Clinic within the seven-day payment period so the matter can be reviewed.
Future appointments will not be accepted or confirmed while an account remains overdue.
If payment or contact is not received by the due date, Melton Skin Clinic may issue a written demand or refer the outstanding account for lawful debt recovery. Any recovery action will comply with applicable Victorian and Australian laws.
Melton Skin Clinic will not represent that court proceedings have commenced unless proceedings have actually been filed. Debt-collection charges will not be added to a consumer account unless recovery of those charges is permitted by law.
7. Treatment Consultations and Suitability
Treatment suitability is determined following an appropriate consultation and assessment. Booking a particular treatment does not guarantee that the treatment will be performed.
The clinic may recommend a different treatment, postpone treatment or decline treatment where this is reasonably necessary for client safety or appropriate clinical practice.
Clients must follow all preparation and aftercare instructions. Melton Skin Clinic is not responsible to the extent permitted by law for an outcome caused or contributed to by incomplete information or failure to follow those instructions.
8. Results and Expectations
Individual results vary and cannot be guaranteed. Outcomes may be affected by skin type, medical history, medications, lifestyle, sun exposure, treatment consistency and compliance with home care and aftercare.
9. Prices and Payments
All prices are stated in Australian dollars. Current pricing will be displayed or communicated before purchase or treatment.
Prices may be changed for future bookings and purchases. A price change will not retrospectively alter the agreed price of a completed purchase or an existing booking unless the client agrees or the change is required by law.
Payments may be processed through third-party booking or payment providers.
10. Products, Returns and Refunds
Change-of-mind returns are not available for opened or used skincare, cosmetics or personal-care products.
If a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or does not comply with a consumer guarantee, Melton Skin Clinic will provide the remedy required under the Australian Consumer Law.
Refunds are not ordinarily available for a properly completed treatment merely because a client changes their mind. This does not affect any right to a remedy where a service does not comply with a consumer guarantee.
11. Memberships and Payment Plans
Memberships and payment plans are subject to the terms presented and accepted at enrolment, including the minimum commitment period, payment frequency, inclusions and cancellation provisions.
- Membership payments are processed using the agreed payment schedule.
- Membership benefits apply only while payments are current.
- Failed payments must be resolved within seven calendar days.
- Benefits and treatments may be suspended while payments are overdue.
- Appointments remain subject to the clinic’s cancellation and no-show policy.
- Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of the scheduled membership inclusion.
- Memberships are personal and cannot be transferred to another person.
If a membership is cancelled before the agreed minimum term ends, treatments already received may be recalculated at the applicable casual price if this was clearly disclosed and accepted at enrolment. Any resulting balance will become payable in accordance with the membership agreement.
12. Gift Vouchers and Promotions
- Gift vouchers are subject to the conditions and expiry date displayed at purchase.
- Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law.
- Lost or stolen vouchers may not be replaceable.
- Promotional offers are valid only during the advertised period.
- Promotions cannot be combined unless expressly stated.
- Promotional terms do not limit rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
13. Visiting and Independent Practitioners
Some services may be provided by a visiting or independent practitioner. That practitioner is responsible for their clinical assessment, consent, treatment decisions, prescribing where applicable and treatment aftercare.
Any separate booking, deposit and cancellation conditions applying to the practitioner will be disclosed before booking.
14. Website and Online Services
Clients must not misuse the website, booking system, payment platform or clinic communications. Melton Skin Clinic may restrict access where there is suspected fraud, misuse, abusive conduct or repeated policy breaches.
While reasonable steps are taken to maintain online services, uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. Clients should contact the clinic directly if they experience a booking or payment error.
15. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, website content, branding, written materials, graphics and original photographs are owned by or licensed to Melton Skin Clinic and must not be reproduced commercially without written permission.
16. Australian Consumer Law
Our services and products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify those guarantees or any other mandatory consumer right.
17. Privacy Policy
Melton Skin Clinic respects client privacy and handles personal information in accordance with applicable privacy and health-record laws.

- Photographs where appropriate consent has been obtained

Information may also be disclosed where authorised or required by law. Melton Skin Clinic does not sell client health information.
Storage and security
Reasonable steps are taken to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Records are retained for the period required by applicable legal, professional and insurance obligations.
Access and correction
Clients may request access to, or correction of, their personal information by contacting the clinic. Identification may be required before information is released.
Marketing communications
Clients may opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe option or contacting the clinic. Transactional messages about appointments, payments, safety or treatment administration may still be sent where necessary.

Privacy enquiries or complaints should be submitted using the contact details below. Melton Skin Clinic will review and respond within a reasonable time.
18. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Changes apply prospectively from the published effective date. A new or increased cancellation fee will not be applied retrospectively to a booking made before the relevant term was disclosed and accepted.
19. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria and the applicable laws of Australia.
