Who IPL is for
IPL is ideal if you want to correct colour. That includes sun damage, freckles, age spots, facial redness and broken capillaries. It also supports overall tone and clarity when your skin is suitable and protocols are planned conservatively.
Suitability depends on skin tone, recent sun exposure and medications. A patch test is non negotiable.
- Best forSun damage, pigment, redness, uneven tone, early photoageing.
- Not a fit forRecent tanning, sunburn, unstable barrier or contraindicated meds.
- Plan mattersSettings are tailored. Over treating creates inflammation and pigment risk.
How IPL works.
IPL is not a single wavelength laser. It is a controlled spectrum of light designed to target specific chromophores in skin.
Colour correction
Pigment in the epidermis and blood in superficial vessels absorb specific wavelengths. That creates a targeted thermal response. Over the days that follow, pigment can darken then shed, and redness can reduce as vessels settle.
SSR style bulk heating for collagen support
In collagen focused modes often referred to as SSR, the goal is controlled bulk heating in the dermis without damaging the surface. That mild thermal stimulus can support fibroblast activity and collagen remodelling, improving overall texture and skin quality over time.
Your treatment journey
- Step 1. Consult and patch testSkin type, history, medications, sun exposure, and suitability.
- Step 2. TreatmentCooling gel, protective eyewear, controlled pulses. Usually 20 to 30 minutes.
- Step 3. AftercareHeat avoidance, barrier support, strict daily SPF. Pigment is left to shed naturally.
What you can expect
Warmth and mild redness for a few hours is common. Pigment may darken before it lifts. The win is not instant. The win is cumulative clarity without stressing the skin.
We provide written aftercare so you know exactly what to do at home. No guessing.
Before and after
Individual results vary. Images represent typical improvements after a recommended series and correct home care.
Results and course
Most clients see improvement after each session. Best results typically occur after a course of 3 to 6 treatments, spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart. Maintenance once or twice per year keeps results stable, especially with daily sun protection and pigment supportive skincare.
