Book A Pigmentation ConsultationAbout Tranex Peel + Boost
Tranex Peel + Boost pairs gentle exfoliation with ingredients chosen to work on pigment, for dark spots, brown marks after breakouts and uneven tone.
Key Ingredients
The peel contains tranexamic acid, gluconolactone, phytic acid and potassium azeloyl diglycinate. Gluconolactone is a polyhydroxy acid that exfoliates gently, and the formula as a whole targets uneven pigmentation.
The Boost follows with a tranexamic acid derivative, phenylethyl resorcinol and glutathione, adding brightening and antioxidant support.
Dark Spots
Aims to make dark spots less noticeable.
Post Breakout Marks
For brown marks left after blemishes.
Radiance
Works toward brighter, more even tone.
Personalised
Sessions and spacing set at consultation.
Expected Results
Goals include less noticeable dark spots and post breakout marks, with a more even, radiant tone overall.
The manufacturer's published results relate to the full Peel + Boost programme with supporting skincare. Results vary.

- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Current or recent isotretinoin (Roaccutane) use
- Prescription retinoids and other acne treatments
- Medicines that affect skin sensitivity, immunity or healing
- Allergies or past reactions to skincare or peels
- Cold sores, active infection, broken skin or sunburn
- Active eczema or dermatitis
- Poor healing, unusual scarring or pigmentation after past procedures
- Recent laser, microneedling, waxing, peels or other skin treatments
Any of these may mean your treatment needs adjusting, postponing or a check with your doctor first.

“When I assess your skin, I want to understand what is bothering you, what you have already tried and how your skin responds. From there, we can choose an appropriate treatment and a home care routine you can realistically follow. I will explain what we are targeting, what improvement we are looking for and what recovery involves.”
Laura, Dermal Clinician, Melton Skin ClinicFrequently Asked Questions
Can it help with melasma?
It may be considered as part of a broader pigmentation plan. Melasma can come back and may also need medical treatment.
Will it remove every dark spot?
No treatment can promise that. The type and depth of the pigmentation both affect how it responds.
Do I still need home care?
Yes. The right skincare and consistent sun protection are a big part of managing pigment.
When can I wear makeup?
It depends on the treatment and how your skin is healing. Follow your aftercare instructions and keep makeup off any raw or healing skin.
When can I go back to retinol and exfoliating acids?
Follow your personalised aftercare plan. Going back to them too early can irritate recovering skin.
What should I avoid while my skin is peeling?
Don't pick, scrub or pull at flaking skin. Stick to your skincare instructions and keep your skin protected from the sun.
What are the risks?
Redness, dryness, sensitivity and peeling are possible. Less commonly, pigment changes, prolonged redness, infection and scarring can occur. We'll go through the risks that apply to you before treatment.
What if my skin reacts unexpectedly?
Get in touch with the clinic if you notice increasing discomfort, significant swelling or any reaction you weren't expecting.
Are results permanent?
Not necessarily. Sun exposure, hormones, ageing and ongoing skin conditions all affect skin over time. We look at maintenance once we've seen how your skin responds.
Can I have a peel during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
We don't offer these Dermaceutic peels during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Get in touch and we can talk about alternatives.
I'm on Roaccutane. Can I book?
Please tell us about any current or recent isotretinoin use before booking. Suitability and timing depend on the peel, your skin and medical advice. Don't stop any prescribed medication without speaking to your prescriber first.
